Fresh from helping Celtic secure their first Scottish Premiership title in the 2022-23 season, Kyogo Furuhashi has a new accolade to add to his trophy cabinet. The Japanese striker has been named Celtic's Player of the Year, an award voted for by his fellow players.
In an incredible first season in Scottish football, Kyogo netted 24 goals in 50 appearances, including 21 strikes in 33 league outings.
The 27-year-old's impressive goalscoring exploits were key in Celtic's title success, as they secured their 10th league title in 11 seasons.
Kyogo joined Celtic from Vissel Kobe in July 2021, and his impact at Parkhead has been nothing short of remarkable.
The striker's goalscoring prowess has not only helped Celtic to domestic success but has also earned him international recognition. He has been capped 16 times by Japan, scoring five goals.
With his impressive first season in Scotland and his current form, Kyogo Furuhashi looks set to continue playing a key role for Celtic in the years to come.
